J.D.C. Bitco English Medium High School Pays Tribute to Gandhi and Shastri
Nashik, October 2nd: J.D.C. Bitco English Medium High School was immersed in patriotic spirit today as it commemorated the birth anniversaries of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and the beloved leader Lal Bahadur Shastri. The event, hosted by the dynamic students of standards 5-A, 5-B, and 5-C under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Yogita Mojad, Mrs. Karuna Daive, and Mrs. Rohini Batwal, was a vibrant and insightful tribute.

A striking visual highlight of the morning was the impressive portrayal of the two leaders by students Vaibhav Jagtap, who embodied Mahatma Gandhi, and Harshit Ughade, who dressed as Lal Bahadur Shastri, bringing history to life for the audience.

The programme commenced on a devotional note with a soulful rendition of the bhajan "Raghupati Raghav Rajaram..." by students Ovi Bramhane, Jagruti Chaddidar, Ishwari Mojad, and Jiya Thakur. This was followed by a series of thoughtful speeches from students Mahek Shaikh, Aditi Kute, and Akshad Khairnar, who eloquently spoke about the leaders' lives and philosophies. A speech by their teacher, Mrs. Batwal, further enriched this segment.

A key attraction was the short and impactful skit, directed by Mrs. Karuna Daive. Based on the three core principles of Gandhiji, it was skillfully enacted by Prathamesh Pathak, Prem Chawariya, Rudra Chaurasiya, and Aaysh Jadhav. The visual learning continued with two short videos on the Dandi March and the biography of Lal Bahadur Shastri, arranged by Mrs. Daive.

The entire event was seamlessly guided by the confident anchors, Apeksha Puri from 5-B and Nandini Misal from 5-A.

Addressing the gathering, Supervisor Mr. S.C. Tribhuvan inspired the students to look beyond the textbooks. "The simplicity and honesty of Shastriji and the unwavering truth of Gandhiji are not just chapters in a history book; they are essential lessons for life," he stated. "I urge every student to imbibe these values in their daily conduct."

The Headmaster, Mr. D.R. Nandan, in his speech, commended the exceptional efforts put forth by everyone. "Today's celebration, from the powerful skit to the heartfelt speeches and remarkable attires, shows that the legacy of our great leaders is in passionate and capable hands," he remarked. "Let the 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' spirit and the path of truth always guide you."

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Yogita Mojad, who expressed gratitude to all participants, teachers, and staff for making the ceremony a memorable and successful homage to India's iconic leaders.
