Damini and Nirbhaya Troops Visit J.D.C. Bytco English Medium High School to Raise Awareness on Safety and Self-Defense
Nashik, 11th September 2024: Today, J.D.C. Bytco English Medium High School had the honor of hosting the Damini and Nirbhaya Troops in a special awareness program aimed at educating girls from 5th to 10th standards on critical issues such as self-defense, safety, and the important distinction between "Good Touch and Bad Touch."
The event was organized by the Nashik Police in collaboration with Lokmat and featured esteemed guests, including Rathod Jayashree, Manisha Badade, Shilpa More, and Sujata Valung, who are police constables from the Damini Troop. Special motivational and inspirational speeches were delivered by Manisha Badade and Sameer Kakad of the Nirbhaya Troop, urging the young girls to recognize their inner strength and apply it in their daily lives.
The session featured an interactive lecture and practical demonstrations on self-defense techniques, empowering the students with essential skills to protect themselves. Emergency helpline numbers such as 112 for the Nirbhaya and Damini services were also shared with the girls, ensuring they are well-equipped with the knowledge needed for their safety.
Principal Mr. D.R. Nandan also addressed the students with a powerful motivational speech, further emphasizing the importance of vigilance and personal safety. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Karuna Daive.
The visit by the Damini and Nirbhaya Troops has made a lasting impact on the students, instilling in them a sense of confidence and awareness regarding their safety in society.
