Students of JDC Bitco High School Experience the Thrill of Becoming Pilots
Nashik Road: Students from the NCC Air Force program at the renowned "J.D.C. Bitco English Medium High School" of Gokhale Education Society recently embarked on an exhilarating journey as they took to the skies, experiencing the thrill of becoming pilots. Conducted by the Number One Maharashtra Air Wing NCC in Mumbai, the "Flying Camp" held at Air Force Station Pune provided an unforgettable opportunity for these young student soldiers.

Under the guidance of Group Captain Sangram Naik from the Indian Air Force Mumbai Unit, students including Aditya Porje, Atharva Gotis, Natik Kagada, Shreya Javale, and Aroshi Nikam took on the role of "co-pilots" in the Virus-SW 80 microlight aircraft, soaring through the skies and gaining hands-on experience of flying an aircraft.

In addition to experiencing the thrills of flight, Sergeant Alok Srivasthav and Sergeant Alok Mitra provided students with a comprehensive introduction to various aspects of aviation, including the intricacies of the airport's runway, taxiway, hangar, radar, and air traffic control systems. Furthermore, students had the opportunity to closely study iconic fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force such as the Sukhoi-30, Mi-17, and Chetak Helicopter.

NCC Officer Mr. Hatkhambkar, Principal Mr. Dilip Udmale, and Supervisor Mr. Nandan Sir extended their heartfelt congratulations to the students, expressing immense pride in the school's remarkable achievements. This experience not only broadened the horizons of the students but also instilled a sense of passion and dedication towards aviation, inspiring them to soar to greater heights in the future.
